1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the repair and maintenance services offered by Ripon Refrigeration Works Ltd. By calling us, booking a visit through our website, or requesting service through any channel, you agree to be bound by these terms.
We operate as a registered repair service business based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Our primary focus is delivering reliable fridge repair services in Dhaka, along with AC repair, appliance troubleshooting, and installation support for homes and businesses across the city.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services. We recommend reviewing this page before scheduling any appointment with our team.
2. Services We Provide
Ripon Refrigeration Works Ltd. offers hands-on repair and maintenance for a range of home and commercial appliances. Here is a breakdown of what we cover:
- Refrigerator repair — all brands and types, including compressor faults, cooling issues, thermostat problems, and gas-related faults. Learn more about our refrigerator repair service.

- AC cleaning & maintenance — deep cleaning of indoor and outdoor units, filter wash, and duct sanitization.
- Compressor repair & replacement — for both refrigerators and air conditioners.

3. Service Area
We currently serve all locations within Dhaka city. Our technicians regularly visit areas including Uttara, Mirpur, Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Nikunja, Khilkhet, Basundhara, Purbachal, Pallabi, and Mirpur DOHS.

4. Booking & Scheduling
You can book a service visit through our website, phone call, Facebook page, or any of our social media channels. When you book, we will confirm the following details with you:
- Your name, phone number, and exact address in Dhaka
- Type of appliance and brand (if known)
- Description of the problem
- Preferred date and time slot
4.1 Time Slots
We operate 24 hours a day, every day of the week. However, standard visits are typically scheduled between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Emergency or late-night visits may carry an additional charge, which will be communicated before confirmation.
4.2 Technician Arrival
We aim to arrive within the confirmed time window. Dhaka traffic can cause delays, and we will keep you updated over the phone if our technician is running late. If we cannot reach you at the provided address or phone number, the visit may be marked as a no-show and the inspection fee (if applicable) will still apply.
5. Pricing & Payment
5.1 How Pricing Works
Our pricing has two parts: the inspection/diagnosis charge and the actual repair cost.
- Inspection charge: A flat fee is charged when our technician visits your location to diagnose the problem. This fee covers the technician’s time and travel. The exact amount depends on your location and will be communicated at the time of booking.
- Repair cost: After diagnosis, the technician will give you a clear quote for the repair, including parts and labor. This quote is valid for that visit only.
5.2 Payment Methods
We accept cash, bKash, Nagad, and bank transfer. Payment is expected after the repair is completed and tested in front of you. For large commercial jobs, we may require a partial advance — this will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.
5.3 No Hidden Charges
The quote our technician gives you before starting work is what you pay. We do not add unexpected charges after the job is done. If during repair we find an additional problem, we will inform you and get your approval before fixing it.
6. Warranty & Service Guarantee
We stand behind the work our technicians do. When we replace a part or complete a repair, we provide a warranty period for that specific fix. The warranty covers the same fault recurring within the stated period — it does not cover new problems or damage caused by misuse.

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
7.1 Before the Visit
You can cancel a booked visit at no charge if you notify us at least 2 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the visit may incur the inspection fee as a no-show charge.
7.2 During or After the Visit
If our technician diagnoses the problem and you decide not to proceed with the repair, you only pay the inspection charge. No additional cancellation fee applies.
If a repair has been completed and paid for, there is no refund for the service itself. If a replaced part fails within the warranty period, we will fix or replace it at no extra cost — see Section 6 for warranty details.
7.3 Refund Timeline
In the rare case where a refund is applicable (for example, a double payment or an advance for a job we could not start), refunds are processed within 5 – 7 business days via bKash, Nagad, or bank transfer, depending on your original payment method.
8. Customer Responsibilities
To help us do our job properly and avoid unnecessary delays, we expect customers to:
- Provide accurate information about the appliance brand, model, and the problem you are facing
- Ensure someone is present at the given address at the scheduled time
- Keep the phone number you provided reachable so our technician can coordinate
- Clear the area around the appliance so the technician can work safely and efficiently
- Inform us in advance if the appliance is still under manufacturer warranty — we can advise whether third-party repair might void it
- Not attempt to open or fix the appliance yourself after booking with us, as this can complicate diagnosis and void our warranty
9. Limitation of Liability
Ripon Refrigeration Works Ltd. provides repair and maintenance services using industry-standard tools and techniques. However, we need to be transparent about certain limitations:
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage, rust, corrosion, or wear that was present before our service visit. Our technician will note such conditions during inspection.
- We are not responsible for damage caused by voltage fluctuation, electrical surges, or improper wiring in your premises. We recommend using a voltage stabilizer with your refrigerator and AC.
- If a repair requires parts that are discontinued or unavailable in the local market, we will inform you. We cannot guarantee repair completion in such cases.
- Our total liability for any single service visit shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific repair job.
- We do not take responsibility for food spoilage, business loss, or any indirect damages resulting from an appliance breakdown — whether before, during, or after our service.
10. Parts & Components
10.1 Sourcing
We use genuine original parts where available. If an original part is not available in the Dhaka market, we use high-quality compatible alternatives and will always inform you before installing a non-original part.
10.2 Part Warranty
Parts installed by our technicians carry the warranty period stated in Section 6. The part warranty is provided by us — if the part fails within the warranty period due to a manufacturing defect, we will replace it at no additional labor charge.
10.3 Customer-Supplied Parts
If you purchase a part yourself and ask us to install it, we will do so. However, we cannot provide any warranty on customer-supplied parts. Our warranty in that case covers only the installation labor for 7 days.
11. Your Property & Premises
Our technicians are trained to work with care and keep your home or office clean during the repair process. They will use dust sheets or covers where necessary to protect your floors and furniture.
That said, we ask that you remove fragile or valuable items from the area around the appliance before our technician starts working. We will not be held responsible for accidental damage to items left in the immediate work area.
If our technician causes damage to your property due to negligence, please report it to us within 24 hours of the service visit. We will investigate and work with you to reach a fair resolution. You can also learn more about our home appliance repair process and standards on our services page.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, service descriptions, blog posts, and design elements — is the property of Ripon Refrigeration Works Ltd. or is used with proper authorization.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or republish any content from this website without our written permission. This includes using our service descriptions, FAQ answers, or blog content on other websites or platforms.
Our logo, business name, and brand identity are registered trademarks. Unauthorized use of these elements for commercial purposes will result in legal action.
13. Privacy & Data Handling
When you book a service or contact us, we collect personal information such as your name, phone number, address, and details about your appliance. We use this information solely to:
- Schedule and complete your service request
- Communicate with you about the repair status
- Send service follow-ups or maintenance reminders (only if you opt in)
- Improve our service quality

14. Dispute Resolution
We work hard to make sure every customer is satisfied with our service. If you have a complaint or dispute, here is how we handle it:
- Contact us first: Call us at 01795634921 or email contact@fridgerepairdhaka.bd with details of the issue. Most problems are resolved within a single phone call or follow-up visit.
- Internal review: If the issue is not resolved immediately, our management team will review the case within 3 business days and propose a solution.
- Escalation: If you are still not satisfied, the dispute will be escalated to the business owner for a final decision.
These terms and any disputes arising from our services are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, pricing structure, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change is significant — for example, a change to our warranty policy or liability terms — we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through our website or social media channels.
